SPECIAL NOTICES

On behalf of U3A, Lois will be doing the following course:

A course on Practical Family History will be held on the
first Thursday of each month (the second Thursday in April because of public holidays) at 2 pm at the Claremont Library Hall.

During the course of the year we will cover starting off in a systemized way, using archival sources, exploring the internet as an important resource, preparing family tree and pedigree charts and writing up and publishing material on your family. The outcomes by the end of the year should be a family database, a pedigree chart, a family tree and a short family newsletter to circulate to family members.

Please bring a notebook and pencil and any certificates and family documents and photos that you may have.

If you are interested and a member of U3A, just let me know if you are interested and you are welcome to join in.

f you are not a member you may consider joining. It is R40 per year, a monthly meeting and over 70 courses to choose from. The cost for the course will be R5 an afternoon.
