Genealogy Wise
> Genealogy Wise is a new website which will be officially launched on Friday 17th July. It is effectively a dedicated social networking site for genealogists. It shares a lot of features in common with Facebook, the most important of which is that it is completely free.
You get a profile page where you can list all your research interests, you can join the various groups, upload photos and videos and join in the discussions on the forums. There are groups for surnames, geographical areas, family history programs, genetic genealogy, and various other topics. If there isn't an existing group for your area of interest it is very easy to set one up. The website can be found here:

Genealogy Wise already has almost 2000 members and there are over 1000 groups. The numbers seem to be growing exponentially by the day, and everyone who has used it so far has been very enthusiastic.
