This may seem an extraordinary source for SA genealogy. I picked up
the tip the other day from an Australian list to which I subscribe.
Just for fun I put in one of "my" names and came up with loads of
references. I think papers copied to each other around the C19th
Empire and there was mutual concern and interest in opportunities in
other parts of the Empire.
