21 September 2010
Dear Collector and Crafter
9th COLLECTORS and HOBBIES EXPO
It is time again for the annual Collectors and Hobbies expo planned by the Tygerberg Museum Service to be held from 24th - 26th of November 2010 in the Civic Centre, Macdonald Street, Goodwood.
As before, we want to promote heritage and raise awareness around our cultural and social life. Therefore, this year the focus will be on collecting and traditional crafts.
The expo will start on Wednesday the 24th of November 2010 with collections and traditional crafts in the main hall. No trading will be allowed in the main hall unless the funds go to a recognised organisation/association. Lectures and workshops (topics to be announced) will take place in the minor hall. General crafters can join us on Thursday the 25th of November from 14:00 in the Foyer. One table per crafter will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Participation is free of charge and tables, chairs, display boards and cabinets as well as security will be provided. General crafters in the foyer are welcome to sell their products for their own benefit. Our only request is that you (or a representative) are available at your stand during the exhibition to promote and demonstrate your field of interest.
The exhibition will be open to the public free of charge and all schools in the Tygerberg region will be informed.
Exhibition hours: Wednesday: 09h30 - 18h00
Thursday: 09h30 - 19h00
Friday: 09h30 - 15h00
